I think the thing I like most about Ron Mueck’s work is the kind of people he chooses to sculpt. So many people take the easy out and sculpt some incredible bodice of a woman and adonis of a man. His sculptures are so uncanny in how real they are and I don’t think it’s because how realistically he sculpts them.

This is a great interview with a good friend of mine, Casey Droege, about her SIX x ATE project (interviewed by another great Pittsburgh Artist Kim Beck).
